Daring to Dream...Daring to Ask!

“Now glory be to God, who by his mighty power at work within us is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of--infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes.  May he be given glory in the church and in Christ Jesus forever and ever…Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21 (NLT)

DARING TO DREAM…

THE CROSSPOINTE DREAM

It is the dream of a family of whole-hearted followers of Jesus Christ experiencing and expressing the life-changing HEART of God.

It is the dream of a family where the hurting, the discouraged, the confused and the seeker can discover the love, acceptance, hope, comfort and purpose of God.

It is the dream of a family where LIFE CHANGE is the norm, not the exception.  A family surprised when people (character, beliefs, attitudes, direction, etc) DO NOT CHANGE.

It is the dream of a healthy family working out relational problems instead of walking out.  A family where preferences and expectations originate with the truth of Jesus Christ and His Word.

It is the dream of a family investing in people.  A family committed to developing people to grow in their walk with Christ and with one another.

It is the dream of a family daily reaching out to and welcoming people into fellowship.  A dream to see a vibrant expression of biblical community in every relational gathering place (neighborhood, work, school, park)

It is the dream where every family member is equipped and committed to share their experience with Christ and how others can begin a personal relationship with God through Jesus.

It is the dream of a family praying for, partnering with, parenting, training and sending missionaries (career and short term) to express the Good News of Jesus Christ all over the world.

It is the dream of a facility that serves as a lighthouse for our community, a place of celebration for the church gathered and a strategic training center for local and worldwide ministry and mission.

God has planted His dream for Crosspointe in my heart and in many of yours.  Will you join me in 2004 by committing to follow Him in faith?  In the next E-Newsletter, I will outline ESSENTIAL priorities and commitments  for these dreams to become reality.

Daring to Dream,

Mike

New Series: Becoming Lifesavers

February 1 – 15, 2004

When it comes to “evangelism” there’s one thing both non-believers and believers have in common: we don’t like the word! When understood and lived out, a lifestyle of “lifesaving” is fruitfilled and fulfilling. Join us for this message series as we discover God’s plan for our lives as “lifesavers.” We will all be challenged to pray for our non-believing friends, family and co-workers, and to invite them to Crosspointe.

February 1 – The Motivation of Lifesavers

We’ll begin by asking question “why?” Why should we share the gospel? Why are we motivated share it?

February 8 – The Methods of Lifesavers

Today we’ll get practical: How do I share Jesus with my friends and family? It’s not as hard or scary as we often think…

February 15 – The Message of Lifesavers

The challenge for this day is to “Draw the Net.” Each of us are challenged to invite and bring a non-believing friend, co-worker or family member this Sunday.

Q.    What exactly is a Life Group?

A.   Life Groups are small groups of believers and/or seekers, sometimes called cell groups or house churches. They are modeled after the first century church in Acts 2 and provide the structure through which Crosspointe accomplishes Jesus’ command to make disciples and reach our community.

Q.   Where do Life Groups meet?

A.   Life Groups meet primarily in homes throughout the North Fulton area.  Homes are the most intimate and conducive environments for groups to flourish.  Groups also meet in coffee houses, restaurants and at the church.
