February 2005 E-Newsletter

From the Pastor:

“LIVING IT”

“Just go ahead with what you've been given. You received Christ Jesus, the Master; now live him.  You're deeply rooted in him. You're well constructed upon him. You know your way around the faith. Now do what you've been taught. School's out; quit studying the subject and start living it! And let your living spill over into thanksgiving.”

Colossians 2:6-7 (MSG)

God challenges us through His Word to be a people who are “living” Jesus Christ.  In January we responded to God’s challenge and call.  In 2005 we are committed to…

…Living for God’s pleasure

…Living by God’s priorities

…Living at God’s pace

…Living out God’s purposes

So, how can this be a sustained reality?  One my goals to help me in “living it” all year long is to begin each day with these questions and responses:

ü      Lord, what will bring you pleasure today?  That’s what I will be and do.

ü      Lord, of all my options, what is most important to you today?  I will make this my priority.

ü      Lord, what will allow me to live at your pace today?  I’ll make the necessary adjustments.

ü      Lord, at the end of the day, what do you want accomplished?  That’s what I’ll give myself to.

Are you ready?  Are you expecting God to LIVE through you and me this year?  I am!  So, let’s start living it!

Blessings,

Mike
