“LIVING IT”
“Just go ahead with what you've been given. You received
Christ Jesus, the Master; now live him.
You're deeply rooted in him. You're well constructed
upon him. You know your way around the faith. Now do
what you've been taught. School's out; quit studying the
subject and start living it! And let your
living spill over into thanksgiving.”
Colossians 2:6-7 (MSG)
God challenges us through His Word to be a people who
are “living” Jesus Christ. In January we responded to
God’s challenge and call. In 2005 we are committed to…
…Living for God’s pleasure
…Living by God’s priorities
…Living at God’s pace
…Living out God’s purposes
So, how can this be a sustained reality? One my goals
to help me in “living it” all year long is to begin each
day with these questions and responses:
ü
Lord, what will bring you pleasure today?
That’s what I will be and do.
ü
Lord, of all my options, what is most
important to you today? I will make this my priority.
ü
Lord, what will allow me to live at your
pace today? I’ll make the necessary adjustments.
ü
Lord, at the end of the day, what do you
want accomplished? That’s what I’ll give myself to.
Are you ready? Are you expecting God to LIVE through
you and me this year? I am! So, let’s start
living it!
Blessings,
Mike |

ACTS: Rediscovering Spiritual Community
Facilitated by Greg Chatham and drawn from the Gospel of
Acts, this 6-week study (9:30am hour) helps to describe
and define spiritual community. By exploring the
central component of life in the early church we
discover why it is so important and how to experience
it.
CLASS 401: Discovering Your Mission
This class will dovetail with the
sermon series and will give members a broader
understanding of their participation in God’s mission in
the world. They will examine the biblical basis for
missions while learning practical skills to help in
sharing their faith with others. Lin Acuff will
facilitate CLASS 401, which will run for 6 weeks, beginning
February 20th, at 9:30 AM in the Life School
Suite. Sessions are as follows:
Feb 20: God’s Passion, Our Purpose
Feb 27: Sharing Your Story
Mar 6: Sharing the Gospel
Mar 13: Learning Practical Skills
Mar 20: Fishing in Your Pond
Mar 26: Becoming a Global
Christian
