NEW YEAR…NEW CHALLENGES…NEW OPPORTUNITIES!

I would like to “take this opportunity” to say THANKS to all of my family at CCC.  You have truly been a special blessing to me and my family during the holidays.  First, the “Christmas Love” gift was greatly appreciated…thanks for your loving generosity!  Second, it is hard to convey my gratefulness for your support and prayers during my mom’s extended illness.  I am especially thankful to have had “extra” time with her and dad after the holidays.  The elders, staff and you made that possible because of your committed service.

I’m not sure how things will progress with my mom’s health…but I know God’s grace IS and WILL continue to be sufficient.  Neither, am I sure of all that 2004 will bring our way.  Yet, I know 2004 is filled with tremendous opportunity for the Crosspointe family.  My prayer is that we will be found faithful and God will be glorified no matter what comes our way.  The writer of Deuteronomy puts the coming year in perspective,

“…what does the LORD your God ask of you but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways,to love him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul…”  Deut 10:12

Moving Forward with Purpose,

Mike

PS – Please pray for our staff and elders during our “kick-off” retreat this weekend, January 9th and 10th.

Condolences to the Family of...

Worship & Arts

Key Dates:     January 17 – WArPT Planning Session

                        January 26 – February 6 – Music Ministry Auditions

February 14 – WArPT Planning Session

February 20-21 – Music Ministry Retreat

Worship and Arts ministries (Host, Drama, Music and Audio/Visual) experienced tremendous growth and maturity across the board this past year. Two major developments I am excited about include:

1.  The transition to team-based leadership and direction of the Worship and Arts area through the Worship and Arts Leadership Team (WALT). Team members include Dwayne Samples, Vickie Bagwell, Glenn Renfro and Adam Feldman.

2.  The transition to team-planned services through the Worship and Arts Planning Team (WArPT), consisting of Jim Durand, Doug Bailey, Val Le, Sam Silva and Adam Feldman. You have participated in several services planned behind the scenes by the WArPT team.

I believe we are poised for an amazing 2004! For instance, we are entering the new year with over 50 different individuals involved in worship and arts ministries! Also, the music team will hold auditions in January with the desire to continue growing in vocal and instrumental talent. Likewise, big plans are in the works with the audio/visual area (have you seen the new light-bar installed in the worship center?). Continue praying for/with us as we journey together…

By His grace,

Adam Feldman, Pastor of Worship and Arts

Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy. How awesome is the LORD Most High, the great King over all the earth! – Psalm 47:1-2

Prayer

Key Dates:

January 11 “Conversations on Prayer”

The year 2003 saw more emphasis and encouragement toward our small group being the first avenue for prayer.  We believe God is continuing to grow us in the discipleship of prayer both corporately and personally.  As the New Year progresses we hope to see more interest and growth in personal prayer starting with the six week ABC "Conversations on Prayer" (register on ABC link).  It is our desire in 2004 to have everyone recognize and embrace that the biblical directives to "carry each others burdens" and "pray without ceasing" are for every believer and not limited to a select few.

 Blessings,  Marsha
