From the Pastor
	SUMMER TIME EXCITEMENT You can almost feel the excitement as “summer-time” approaches. Children look expectantly to days filled with “anything but school” activities. Families anticipate vacations where they can enjoy “just being together and having fun”. Even the city streets and highways enjoy a summertime respite from the “intense and crowded” conditions. There’s just a lot to be excited about. There’s also a lot to be excited about at Crosspointe this summer. Check it out! Sundays – May 30th through Aug. 8th: "Genesis: New Beginnings" & "Genesis: Vintage Faith" Each Sunday you will discover (or rediscover) foundational truths to help you grow and move forward in your faith. Centri-kid Camp – June 21-25: Our children will experience an exciting, fun-filled and Christ-centered week with hundreds others in Asheville, NC. Wedding-time – July 3: We get to celebrate with Adam Feldman (Pastor of Worship & Arts) and Kim Price in their marriage covenant with God and each other. Fireworks Outreach – July 4: We will, again, hand out bottles of “cold” water as thousands gather to watch the firework exhibition at Roswell HS. South Africa trip – July 7-21: Our traveling team (of 15) is assembled and making preparations. On the other side of the world, Peter Black and other El Shaddai church leaders are building a stage, distributing flyers, and making all other necessary preparations for outreach and ministry. A Vacation Bible School extraordinaire is coming and hundreds of kids will learn of their Shepherd, Jesus Christ. Remember, a special offering will received on Sunday, June 6^th! "BIG STUFF" Youth Retreat – July 26-30: Big “G” and the youth head for Camp at Boardwalk Beach Resort in Panama City Beach, FL for 5 days that Christ will use to impact lives in a major way. And…there’s a whole lot more going on this summer. So, get excited and jump on in to the exciting opportunities to grow and serve this summer. Excited, Mike

Summer Adult Bible Course
	*Beginnings: The Book of Genesis* Take a journey through the book of Genesis this summer! This nine week bible study walks with you from creation to the formation of a peculiar new community; God’s community, set apart to reveal Him to a world in need. Mark the info card or CLICK HERE to register. Class begins June 13 in Suite 310

Kids Corner Schedule Adjustments (May 30-August 8^th)
	Our Kids Corner Adult crew will be taking a well deserved break for the summer starting Sunday, May 30. Our summer schedule and teaching for all K-5^th graders will follow the schedule below. 9:30AM-10:30AM Small Group Bible Study in the Kids Corner 10:45AM-11:15AM Children experience/parents model worship in adult worship center 11:15AM-Noon Children exit worship center for Kids Corner teaching time (Series Title - Genesis: "Back to the Future” ) *Parents are asked to volunteer at least one Sunday morning during the summer to assist with the children during worship. Sign up for your Sunday on the info table in the foyer.

Celebrate Recovery
	Crosspointe is in the initial stages of implementing a Christ-centered recovery program. If you have twelve-step experience or need a safe place to recover from a hurt, habit or hang up please pray about being a part of this new ministry. Call Pat Meazell at 678-887-8668 for details/questions.

Fall Festival of Marriage Retreat
	In conjunction with Crosspointe’s 50 Days of Family focus this fall we’re encouraging all our couples and their friends to attend this Marriage Retreat featuring Gary Chapman, author of The Five Love Languages and John Trent, author of Choosing to Live the Blessing. Plan now for a special get away this fall. Location: Millenium Maxwell House Hotel Nashville, Tennesse Date: September 16-18, 2004 Cost: $239.00 per couple conference/meals/Cumberland cruise $99.00 per night hotel Early Bird Rate if paid in full by June 15 Check the box on the info card if you plan to attend and place your check in offering plate with “Marriage Retreat” memo. Life Groups
	Crosspointe’s Life Group ministry will be taking it’s annual summer hiatus beginning May 30. A special thank you to all those leading and involved in Life groups this year. It’s been an exciting year of connection, care and life change! Our Life Groups will re-launch the week of August 15. Please take the time to thank your Life Group leader for their commitment to you and to this essential ministry at Crosspointe. If you are interested in leading or hosting a Life Group in August contact phil@crosspointeonline.org. New leader orientation and training will be held on August 1^st.

What's Up At The Pointe?
	Yes, it is summer and boy am I happy. I love summertime and the joy of students being out of school. In the midst of traveling and all our family coming at different times this summer, I am looking forward to hanging out more with our students…now that I don’t have to compete with math, science, and english. This summer we are going to have some fun with lunch clubs, nasty games night, and so much more. Finally, I want to say thanks to the Crosspointe family for all you have done for Anna and me. Life South Blood Drive
	On June 16, Crosspointe will be hosting a blood drive by Life South from 3pm to 7pm in the front parking lot. Traditionally summer time experiences blood shortages. Please consider donating to safe a life.

Softball Season
	Congratulations to the men's softball team for a great season! You played hard and had a lot of fun! **Remember, if you still have your CCC softball jersey, please turn it in to the church office or to Kelly Wilson (678-938-6475) for next season.

Price/Feldman Wedding Shower
	All ladies are invited to attend a bridal shower for Kim Price and Adam Feldman on Sun. June 6, 3pm – 5pm, in Life School Suite on third floor. Please call Felicia (770-552-9330) or Cherie (770-642-8690)for more information. Please RSVP on information card on Sunday.

South Africa
	June 2, 6:30-8:00pm; Special time of "Pizza and Prayer" for the South Africa Mission trip. Mark the information card on Sunday if you plan to attend and please bring $2.00 to cover the cost of the pizza.

July 4th Community Outreach
	Come help us show Roswell we care about them. We will be passing out water to people at the annual Fireworks celebration on Sunday, July 4th. If you would like to help with this outreach opportunity, please indicate it on the info card or contact Gerry Rogers (770-640-9959).
