From the Pastor:

"The Call of a Revolution"

God is on the move…working.  The challenge before us is to “Answer the Call”.  Not just any call…it’s the call of a revolution.  Webster defines revolution as, “a sudden, radical, or complete change; activity or movement designed to effect fundamental changes.”

God is clearly inviting you and me to join Him in a movement He has designed to effect fundamental changes in the lives of people.  So, what do we do?  How do we answer the call?

 PRAY FOR GOD’S INTERVENTION

“Jesus said to his followers, ‘There are many people to harvest but only a few workers to help harvest them.  Pray to the Lord, who owns the harvest, that he will send more workers to gather his harvest.”

Matthew 9:37-38 (NCV)

START WHERE YOU ARE

“You will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Acts 1:8 (NIV)

MOVE BEYOND PEOPLE’S DIFFERENCES

“Whatever a person is like, I try to find common ground with him so that he will let me tell him about Christ and let Christ save him.” 1 Corinthians 9:22b (LB)

GO ANYWHERE, TO ANYONE IN THE WHOLE WORLD.

“Jesus said to His followers, ‘Go everywhere in the world, and tell the Good News to everyone.’”

Mark 16:15 (NCV)

The apostle Paul put it this way, “The most important thing is that I complete my mission, the work that the Lord Jesus gave me - to tell people the Good News about God's grace.” Acts 20:24 (NCV)

Blessings,

Mike

Clarence & Peggy Ledford

Dear Church Family,

The visit with our church family and heart friends has been wonderful and refreshing for Peggy and me.  We deeply appreciate all that the church family has done individually and collectively to extend God's love and grace to us.  God's love has been shown through many acts of kindness.  Some have provided housing, air tickets to visit the grandchildren and supplies to take back to Ukraine.  Another great blessing will be in CCC partnering with us by sending Tammy Minear to Ukraine to help us with a 3 week Advanced Discipleship Training in early May. Tammy will also be teaching church leaders and teachers in the area of children's ministries.  Our sincere appreciation goes to Frank and the children as well as the CCC family for being so supportive of her in this mission outreach.

We should arrive back in L'viv on March 2.  Please continue to keep us in your prayers.  If anyone would like to receive our e newsletter you can contact us at cpledford@att.net and we will add to our list.

In His love and grace,

Clarence

What's

Up at:

It seems crazy to me that in just a few months Anna and I will be parents for the first time.  I get so excited thinking about all the stuff that goes into having a child.  My biggest prayer has been that not only will I teach my child the way of the Lord but once he/she is on that path that I will be smart enough to unleash them on their way.  I don’t want to tame their faith and mother them to death.  I am also praying that same thing for our students.  May they be unleashed into a Revolutionary Faith.  ~Gerry

North Fulton Community Charities

The Crosspointe Staff took a short field trip to North Fulton Community Charities (NFCC) on Monday, Feb. 21. They met with Assistant Director Susan Lenio in order to understand how CCC can better serve the needs of the community. CCC currently supports NFCC financially, but the charity is always in need of volunteers to help out with a multitude of daily tasks. In fact, the service, only few paid employees, is almost entirely volunteer-driven.

Several local churches founded NFCC in 1983 out of a growing need to provide more centralized emergency assistance to North Fulton families in need. Crosspointe has partnered with the charity for several years in order to serve the community in ways that were not immediately available to church. For example, NFCC runs a self-sustaining "clothes closet" where families can purchase seasonal clothes at minimal prices. NFCC also provides families with emergency rations of food, such as canned, dry, and baked goods.

The Crosspointe staff is currently investigating how the church can support the charity more strategically in the future. Serving with NFFC will be a great way for Life Groups to “Live It” together by giving a tangible expression of Christ’s love to Roswell and Alpharetta. CCC members interested in involving their Life Groups or family in this ministry should contact Marsha Feldman (770-640-9959 or marsha@crosspointeonline.org) at the church office for more information.

HOW CAN I HELP?

**One specific way Crosspointe can help NFCC is to collect dry goods such as pasta, rice, macaroni & cheese, stuffing and dried beans for the food pantry.  NFCC is currently experiencing a great need particular in this area.  If you would like to contribute, please bring your items to the church on Sunday and place them in the basket outside the worship center or drop them off in the offices during the week.

Weekly Women’s Life Group

The Ladies of the Tuesday morning Women’s Bible study group have found creative ways to minister to the Body of Christ. Each week, a young mother delivers meals to a homebound church member, once a month another woman shares lunch with an elderly member, and the on the last Tuesday of the month, several of the Bible study group have initiated a time to assist with tasks in the office and around the church that need attention.

Thank you ladies! Your efforts are greatly appreciated by a variety of ministries that are benefiting from your donation of time and effort.

If you would like to join them the last Tuesday morning of each month, please contact Marsha in the office (call 770-640-9959 or email marsha@crosspointeonline.org) for further information.

Ellicott City Church Plant

Dear Crosspointe Family,

Kim and I were excited to share with you that we are answering God’s call on our lives to plant a church outside of Baltimore, Maryland. It is my prayer that you will share the excitement Kim and I have as we begin a new phase of life and ministry this upcoming summer.

I am sure that you may have some questions about the church plant or about what will be going on at Crosspointe as we prepare for this venture over the next few months. As always, the elders and pastors of Crosspointe are available to talk with you about any questions you may have. Likewise, Kim and I desire to make ourselves just as accessible. Therefore, Kim and I will be visiting every Life Group over the next few weeks to talk with you about our vision and to provide you an opportunity to ask the questions you may need to ask.

I also encourage you to take advantage of the Family Forums scheduled on Wednesday evenings at the beginning of each month. They provide an awesome opportunity to hear what God is doing in/through Crosspointe. We were able to share our heart with those who gathered at last week’s Family Forum and were encouraged by the dialogue there.

Thank you in advance for your support and prayers!

Grace and peace,

Adam Feldman, Pastor of Worship and Arts
