	Last week Phil Rikard announced his resignation as Pastor of Life Development. Our elders, staff and I are sad to see Phil leave Crosspointe Community Church. As a member of the staff, Phil has been a blessing to our lives and ministry. However, Phil, Kim, Caleb and Rachel, are now starting a new journey as they seek to follow God’s leadership. I am personally grateful for the opportunity God gave me to serve with Phil for almost six years. I’m sure you, too, are thankful for how God has used Phil, Kim, Caleb and Rachel in your life. So let’s join together on Sunday, September 19^th and honor the Rikards. First, during the morning service, we will take up a love offering to show our appreciation and love. Then, at the end of the service, we will have a special time of prayer for their family. Until then, if you have any questions or comments don’t hesitate to give me or any of our elders a call. Fall Adult Bible Classes - Sundays August 15 - October 3
	ABC1: *“Effective Parenting in a Defective World”* 9:30AM Room 310C In nine life-changing sessions, you’ll learn how you can be an effective parent no matter how defective the world is around you. Greg Chatham will facilitate this interactive class featuring the DVD teaching of Chip Ingram (President of Walk Thru the Bible Ministries) $7.00 study guide fee. ABC2:* *“PRAYER: An Adventure with God”* 9:30AM Room 310A Most, if not all, of us have a desire to strengthen our prayer life with God. This class helps us do that by examining the prayer lives and needs of Mary, Abraham, Moses, Daniel and eight other biblical characters. We’ll learn together how to experience the adventure of prayer! $7.00 study guide fee. ABC3: *“Conversations on Worship”* 5:00PM Room 310C This class is presented by Crosspointe’s Worship and Arts Ministry. Come join Dwayne Samples and Adam Feldman as they explore a biblical understanding of worship. Click here to register for these classes. Celebrate Recovery
	Crosspointe is in the initial stages of implementing a Christ-centered recovery program. If you have twelve-step experience or need a safe place to recover from a hurt, habit or hang-up, please pray about being a part of this new ministry. Call Pat Meazell at 678-887-8668 for details/questions.

What's Up At The Pointe?
What's Up at:	No, No , No...It can’t be. School is already starting. It seems like you guys just got out. This summer has flown by and was quite frankly absolutely crazy. So, I am glad to the fall has gotten started . I am really excited about some of the stuff we are doing this fall like Disciple Now and The Breakfast Club. I really hope you will invite your friends to both of these events. Also, its time to see some really cool changes around the POINTE. The Pointe is getting “new look.” We have started painting the POINTE. I really am looking forward to this fall and this school year. Let’s keep the Good Times Rollin. Crosspointe Dumpster
	Please be aware that our outside dumpster is for church trash only. We have pick up once a week. Additional trash causes overflows and becomes a maintenance problem for us. Thank you for your cooperation.

South Africa Mission Report
	Over 130 children asked Jesus into their hearts in Soshanguve, South Africa this summer! These children need prayer covering. We have divided the group into groups of five children. Please contact Marsha in the church office if you will be a prayer support for one of these groups of five children.

Lost & Found
	Please check the kitchen for serving pieces, vases, coffee cups and coolers you may have left at the church.

Sermon CD's Available
	CD's of sermons and monthly newsletters via email are available for our away college students. Please supply the office via the information card (in your Sunday bulletin) your college student's email and mailing address if interested.

Sympathies
	Our heartfelt sympathy's for Donna Robinson upon the recent passing of her mother and also to Tim Whitley upon the sudden passing of his uncle.
