What exactly is a Life Group?
Life Groups are small groups of believers and/or seekers, sometimes called cell groups or house churches. They are modeled after the Acts 2 church and provide the structure through which Crosspointe accomplishes Jesus' command to make disciples.

Where do Life Groups meet
Life Groups meet primarily in homes throughout the North Fulton area. Homes are the most intimate and conducive environment for groups to flourish. However, groups do meet in restaurants, offices, etc..
|
How are new groups formed?
Central to the purpose of each Life Group is the ultimate creation of a new group (birthing). Each group reproducing itself lays the foundation for exponential growth and relational assimilation of all that God would bring to Crosspointe.
Life Groups should plan to birth a new group after accomplishing the following:
The group has stayed together for a set amount of time, determined at the outset by the group members.
The group has developed necessary leadership to operate a new group or groups.
The group has grown in membership beyond fourteen members.
Groups are also formed during GROUP LINK GATHERINGS five times per year immediately after the Sunday morning Worship Celebration.
|
Do Life Groups meet year round?
Generally, Life Groups meet from September through May and take a three month break in the summer. Regrouping takes place in the fall each year when new groups are birthed and new attenders enter new and existing groups.
|
How do new members and attenders get involved in Life Groups?
Five times per year GROUP LINK GATHERINGS are held after the worship service to create new groups and find a group home for all those seeking to be connected. The most effective entry mechanism to a Life Group, however, is the personal invitation of a Life Group member.
|
How are children cared for in the Life Group environments?
Each group arranges, based on need, for their own childcare.
The following are just a few options for group-arranged childcare:
Each group member individually arranges childcare.
Parents in the group rotate the childcare responsibilities, showing Christian videos, playing games, etc.
A teenage child of a group member is recruited to sit for the younger children.
|
Are all Life Groups the same? Do they all have the same curriculum?
No! Life Groups are as diverse as the church itself, each with a unique personality and flavor. All, however, are committed to develop wholehearted followers of Christ and operate in tandem with Crosspointe's mission and values.
